Climbing Categories & FormatsYou should really read the climbing handbook. :---) for a detailed overview of everything Boulderfest.

Competitive ? top 6 climbs, with consideration to attempts on those. For a chance at finals qualifications and those wanting to challenge themselves. Social ? top 6 climbs, simply top or flash (a top on your first attempt). For climbing with an emphasis on social activations. Teams of 2-4 only ? your team’s top 12 climbs total, split evenly among you. Pairs = top 6 climbs each, trios = top 4 each, quartets = top 3 each. For those wanting to dress up and climb together with mates!

On the Day

Registration opens 1 hour before your round starts. Briefing starts 15 minutes before the round starts. Once the round starts, you'll have 2 hours to climb and score. Based on your feedback…

We have added an additional competitive round Reduced total number of participants per round to ensure everyone has a bit more space to get on climbs. Simplified social and team formats and brought back social leaderboards.

Volunteering applications and finals tickets will have their own releases later this year.
