One of modern music’s most compelling performers, New York-born, Tamil Nadu-raised singer and trans disciplinarian Ganavya blends spiritual jazz, Indian devotional traditions and ambient textures for a sound that transcends time and space, at once capable of lifting audiences to a higher state and moving them to tears. After enchanting audiences alongside Nils Frahm across Australia last year, she now embarks upon her first headline tour of Australia.
Since her evocative 2018 debut, Aikyam: Onnu, the California-based singer has released a string of acclaimed records, including 2024’s collaboration with Floating Points, like the sky I’ve been too quiet, the free-flowing, Alice Coltrane-inspired Daughter of a Temple, and 2025’s Nils Frahm co-produced Nilam, a breathtakingly tender work of spiritual resilience.
Don’t miss this chance to experience the vocalist who the Guardian once described as having “a delicate emotive heft that could turn stoics into sobbing wrecks.”
